How to check the long URL of a shortened URL like bit.ly

Annoyed by the small shortened URL’s of tinyurl.com, is.gd, bit.ly and others?   Want to find out the real long URL website address of those shortened URL’s, so you can see if a site is safe to visit?  Now you can!

Here are two websites that you just copy/paste the shortened URL into the website field and it will give you the long URL of it:
http://longurl.org
http://expandmyurl.com

If you use Firefox, you can get an add on from the bit.ly company that when you hover over a shortened URL, a small pop up will reveal the long address of the URL as well as how many clicks it has had.  Works great on Twitter.
