Making a Favicon for your website

What is a Favicon? Favicon is the tiny icon image which is in your browser title bar when you visit a website.

To make a Favicon create a 16 x 16 pixel image in your favorite image editing software. Once you have created your icon, go to http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/ and upload your image. You will then be given a favicon.ico file that you simply upload to your website.

Then add this line of code between the <head></head> tags of the pages of your website: <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”favicon.ico”>

Now your visitors will see a tiny icon image in their browser title bar, making your website look more professional.
