Ok, so you have spam filters and spam protection programs running, but you are still getting a ton of spam at your email address, what do you do?  Either put up with the spam, or change your email address.  But if you change your email address, you have to let everyone on your contact list know, and then you have to go to all of the accounts you set up with that email address and change their contact information, etc., etc.  What a real pain!

Here’s a little tip; have more then one email address.   Did you know you can have more then one?  In fact you can have as many email addresses as you want (up to your disk quota) with a BakoWeb account.  Of course using an email client like Outlook or Vista Mail makes this a lot easier to manage; as all the email addresses are checked in one place.

By having more the one email address you can alleviate some of the stress of changing your email address when you get spam.  I personally use more then 4 email addresses, this is just an example:

  1. An email address just for my family and close friends, that I never give out, so I never get spam on.
  2. An email address for just my bank, other personal accounts, and credit cards, which I never give out to anyone, so I never get spam on.
  3. Business email addresses that are only for business, so they don’t get spam.
  4. An email address that I do give out for everything else, that I do get spam on, that I am able to easily change often.

By having more then one email address, all of the spam I get comes from one email address, and because I don’t use it to sign up for accounts, or for important people on my contact list, I can easily change it as often as I need to without all the stress.
